I mean yes stormcloaks are complaining about peopel doing to them what they did to others but, first impressions. the imperials were going to axe you for just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I also pick Ralof because if I go with Hadvar I will kill the 2012-12-30 Ralof. But only because my character was Nord and it just made sense. I admit that the idea of payback against the Imperials was a strong motivation in my choice. However, I did take note of Hadvar's actions and words both before and after the (attempted) execution.

I also pick Ralof because if I go with Hadvar … He has his own voice, where Ralof has the generic Nord voice; and Hadvar's family is far more useful and visible than Ralof's.
